MOBILE TRUCK PROTECTION
Clear the bed. We’ll plan the rest.
A little preparation can make your mobile visit easier. Use this checklist to get organized, and confirm any cleaning or removal instructions before you start.
Before either service
Confirm the plan
Wait for your quote, location requirements, and appointment confirmation before making special arrangements.
Share the vehicle’s condition
Mention existing coatings, visible rust, damage, leaks, accessories, or previous repairs.
Arrange safe access
Confirm permission to use the location. Keep children and pets away from the work area, and discuss parking, workspace, and access needs in advance.
Plan time off the road
Allow for the work and the product-specific drying or curing period. Ask about alternative transport if you depend on the truck.
For truck bed lining
Empty the bed
Remove cargo, tools, loose tie-downs, personal items, and removable mats. Store everything somewhere dry and out of the work area.
Clear loose debris
Sweep out loose dirt and leaves if safe to do so. Ask whether the bed needs washing and drying before the visit.
Check accessories first
Discuss toolboxes, bed covers, rails, fasteners, and drop-in liners. Only remove accessories yourself if the service provider asks you to.
Leave surface preparation to the service
Do not sand, grind, apply rust converter, or use wax, silicone, oils, or solvents on the bed unless instructed.
For undercoating
Report mud and existing treatments
Tell us about heavy mud, oil contamination, prior undercoating, and known corrosion so preparation can be planned.
Ask before washing underneath
Do not assume pressure washing is required. The surface must meet the selected product’s preparation and moisture requirements.
Keep the truck safely parked
Do not jack up the vehicle, remove wheels, or crawl underneath to prepare for the visit.
Mention mechanical concerns
Report fluid leaks, warning lights, damaged components, or suspected structural rust. Repairs may need to come first.
